Pertaining to his educational background, he completed his medical school with high honors and complete his internship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, New York. This was followed by a residency in neurology at the University of California, Irvine and a fellowship in movement disorders at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California.

Following his education, the doctor became board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists. 

To boot, he is a member of several internationally recognized bodies, including the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society, the International Association of Parkinsonism & Related Disorders, the American Academy of Neurology, and the North America Brain Injury Society.
