About

Harmonizing Healthcare is a holistic clinic that is dedicated to optimizing the health, well-being, and quality of life of every person who walks through the door. We welcome all ages from infants to geriatrics and can adapt to meet your individual needs. We have three board certified acupuncturists on staff that have Master’s degrees in Oriental Medicine and a fourth practitioner that is a doctor of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Asian Medicine, or also known as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), is a whole comprehensive healthcare system of its own. Once you are given a TCM diagnosis, you are then treated with acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, TCM dietary and lifestyle suggestions, and any other modality that may be necessary for your treatment. Modalities that may be used during an acupuncture treatment include cupping, moxa, gua sha, E-stim, Qi gong, and tuina.

You also receive an individualized treatment plan that explains your TCM diagnosis and what you can do to harmonize yourself between treatments after an initial acupuncture appointment. Common symptoms that people seek treatment for are pain, anxiety, stress, fatigue, insomnia, hormonal regulation, respiratory disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, fertility, migraines, skin problems, and much more. We heavily focus on preventative care in order to help you achieve a high quality of life. In TCM, symptoms are just seen as clues to the underlying root of imbalance and we work to treat at the very root so that your whole system gently harmonizes back to balance. We also offer massage therapy, nutritional consulations, SpectraVision biofeedback scans, and more. We would love to be part of you and your family’s healthcare team and look forward to working with you.

  • How many sessions of acupuncture do you need for knee pain?

It depends upon the underlying reason for the knee pain. With acupuncture, treatments do build on each other, so it is recommended to receive treatments more frequently in the beginning, for example 1-2 times per week, and then reduce frequency once you are experiencing relief in symptoms. You will notice relief right away but to really treat the root of the imbalance (or the reason your knee was susceptible to injury in the first place), you will need additional treatments, anywhere from 10-16, depending on the person. • Do I need to rest after acupuncture?

It is helpful to rest or do mindful low key activities after a treatment to allow your body to integrate after a treatment. Depending on the person and their Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) pattern of imbalance, doing light activity, such as taking a walk outside is good. READ MORE
