Get to know Prosthodontist Dr. Samantha Rawdin, who serves patients in New York, New York.

Dr. Rawdin is a highly-trained prosthodontist specializing in esthetic, implant, and restorative dentistry. She works at Gallery 57 Dental in New York, New York, offering comprehensive dental treatment, ranging from simple fillings and same-day crowns to smile makeovers with veneers, Invisalign, and complex rehabilitations on teeth and implants. Throughout her academic career, Dr. Rawdin earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from Midwestern University in Arizona. During her residency in prosthodontics at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, she won three poster competitions at the annual meeting of the American College of Prosthodontists New York Section. Thereafter, she completed a fellowship in implant dentistry at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2018.

In addition to being a Fellow of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics, she is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, the Northeastern Gnathological Society Academy of Multidisciplinary Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the New York County Dental Society, and the American Association of Women Dentists. 

Attributing her success to working hard, asking questions, and having great mentors, Dr. Rawdin is in the process of completing her board certification examination in prosthodontics, which will place her in the 2% of dentists nationwide who are board-certified.

Among her philanthropic endeavours, she is involved with the DOVE Program at New York Presbyterian Hospital, which provides free, compassionate care to victims (age 12 and older) of domestic violence, physical & sexual assault & elder abuse.

Prosthodontics is a recognized dental specialty pertaining to the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation, and maintenance of the oral function, comfort, appearance, and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth and/or oral and maxillofacial tissues. A prosthodontist specializes in treating and handling dental and facial problems that involve restoring missing tooth and jaw structures. They are highly trained in cosmetics, dental implants, crowns, bridges, dentures, temporomandibular disorders (TMJ/TMD), and more.

Recognized for her clinical expertise, Dr. Rawdin is a published author in the prominent national dental journal, Compendium. She has won 40 under 40: The Best Young Dentists in America by Incisal Edge Magazine in 2019 and was voted Top Doctor by Women in Medicine for 2020.

Outside of the office, her hobbies include baking, skiing, taking barre classes, and exploring the NYC restaurant scene. Her favorite place to vacation is in Japan. Her favorite professional publications are the International Journal of Prosthetic and Restorative Dentistry and the Journal of Prosthodontics.
