She then went on to complete her Master of Public Health degree and her medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, simultaneously receiving her degrees in 2006. This was followed by an internship in the Department of General Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas in 2007, and a residency in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the same educational venue in 2011.
