Get to know Licensed Professional Counselor Dr. Yvonne E. Holmes, who serves patients in Jonesboro, Georgia.

Dr. Holmes is a licensed professional counselor who attends to patients at Loving Touch Support Services in Jonesboro, Georgia. As a professional counselor, she has training and experience in dealing with mental, emotional, and behavioral issues. She works with veterans, families, groups, individuals, and couples. 

Prior to her current endeavors, Dr. Holmes served in the military for many years, acting as a Desert Storm Coordinator. Moreover, she was the go-to person working with former President George W. Bush on needs assessments in Kenya for people diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. 

Dr. Holmes earned her Master of Arts degree in Christian Counseling from Andersonville Theological Seminary in 2006, followed by her Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in 2011. She also earned her Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Christian Counseling from Jacksonville Theological Seminary in 2017. 

Dr. Holmes is a member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia and the Council on Accreditation. Dr. Holmes attributes her success to her passion for helping others reach the next level in their life. It brings her joy to see others fulfill their dreams. She is empathetic and tries to build self-esteem to help patients make lasting changes in their lives.

Licensed professional counselors (LPCs) are mental health professionals who work to help people resolve their psychological, emotional, and substance abuse problems. They typically specialize in areas such as school, family, substance abuse, and mental health.

In her spare time, Dr. Holmes enjoys relaxing at the beach, traveling, reading, as well as spending quality time with her husband and caring for their horses.
