A distinguished alumna of SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University College of Medicine, Dr. Tranquada’s commitment to advancing medical care has been unwavering since her residency days at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. Her credentials as a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, member of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, and Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine, underscore her dedication to excellence in patient care.

Drawing from a rich tapestry of clinical experiences across diverse healthcare settings in the United States, Dr. Tranquada’s leadership prowess shines through her pioneering programs in emergency medicine. From spearheading emergency ultrasound initiatives and a novel medical Spanish and cultural competency residency program, to championing tele-emergency care within the largest integrated medical system in the United States, her innovative spirit has transformed healthcare delivery paradigms.

Beyond her clinical acumen, Dr. Tranquada’s vision for HAEW transcends geographical boundaries, advocating for a healthcare landscape that is inclusive, equitable, and interconnected.
