Is a water fast safe or healthy?
It all depends on so many factors! I'd have to know your medical history, labwork, and what is driving you to do a water fast. Feel free to visit my website at www.nawellness-boulder.com to learn more about how to optimize your health naturally. There are also water fasting treatment centers in the US, so if you are truly serious about this endeavor, please reach out to True North in California at https://www.healthpromoting.com/ (I have NO affiliation with them, but they are a well known water fasting clinic in the US). Are there natural ways to fight off fatigue?
I think the key is to understand the root cause of your fibromayalgia and to treat the cause. Underlying causes can be nutrient depletions, nutritional imbalances, hormonal imbalances, different forms of toxicities, etc. For my fatigue patients, for example, I'm looking at adrenal dysfunction (typically looking at all day cortisol and DHEA production0, reproductive hormones, thyroid hormones and autoimmunity, plus I'm also ordering basic labwork like CMP(14), CBC with diff, ferritin, 25(OH)vitamin D, levels of inflammation, etc in order to find the root cause. Fatigue is also related to lifestyle factors so I'm either ordering labs for understanding food responses or recommending variations in how they are eating, plus making other recommendations as well. It is hard to make many changes when you're feeling so crummy, so I hope you have someone on board to help you discover the root causes of what's underlying your health concerns. Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or you'd like to make an appointment www.nawellness-boulder.com I offer virtual visits. READ MORE
Is the Keto diet healthy?
Keto diet is tricky for women who are cycling! I've seen it recommended for fertility, but I'm not sure it is a longterm solution for women because carbs are really important for your menstrual cycle. If it is purely for metabolic concerns like weight gain, then short term keto to initiate the process can be helpful but then I recommend transitioning to something more balanced like a lower carb diet. I've seen a lot of hormonal issues with keto diet in women particularly those who stay in ketosis the longest. Keto diet safety is based on a number of factors and I'd have to order labs and understand your medical history more to be able to speak more to its safety for you specifically. Everyone is so different in how we respond to different diets. READ MORE
Are homeopathic remedies effective?
I wouldn't only treat with UTI homeopathics like Cantharis, but I would blend it would other botanical medicines and supplement treatment and recommend that you take everything for 24-48 hours (including natural remedies that are herbal antibiotics and remedies that prevent bacteria from adhering to your bladder, for example) plus staying incredibly hydrated, avoiding all sugar including fruit, etc then after that timeframe, if you're feeling better, then it is fine to avoid antibiotics, but if after treating for a UTI for a very limited time and you are still symptomatic, then that's when conventional medicine including antibiotics can be hugely beneficial to prevent kidney infections. I recommend that you find someone who knows how to dose natural remedies at therapeutic dosages so that you are able to get to the level of being able to treat naturally. I find that most people aren't taking natural supplements in ways that can treat infections and then they think the botanical herb or supplement doesn't work, when in fact it does, but they weren't taking it at therapeutic levels. Feel free to reach out again if you have questions! www.nawellness-boulder.com Have a great rest of your week. READ MORE

If you're looking specifically for a homeopathic remedy for xanthomas, then I'd recommend asking a homeopath. Would you recommend naturopathy treatment for severe diabetes?
If she has type 2 diabetes, there are ways to reverse diabetes but it takes a lot of work and willingness because much of her life needs to change. There are great books to read like Mastering Diabetes, Program for Reversing Diabetes, Master Your Diabetes, etc. to truly understand what is needed to reverse diabetes. It is absolutely possible, but the diabetes is progressed, then there will need to be more of an integrative approach with conventional medical care including insulin and a more natural approach. Are there any homeopathic medicines to prevent mono?
There are supplements, botanical herbs, homeopathics, and other natural remedies that treat epstein barr virus, which is the virus that causes mononucleosis. I typically like to order labs to understand how the virus is impacting your health, and then I treat with natural antivirals. If your boyfriend had mono, then you might have it, and there are ways to treat antivirally and there are ways to support your immune system. READ MORE
Do homeopathic therapies treat insomnia?
For my insomnia patients, I order labs to understand the underlying cause of insomnia and I start treating by making lifestyle recommendations. Once labs are back, then I start to understand the underlying cause and I treat it. I treat with supplements, botanical medicine, homeopathics, lifestyle interventions, sleep hygiene protocols, and some of my patients need referrals to sleep specialists for overnight in-lab sleep studies to truly understand what is going on with sleep. In your case, there are lots of ways to treat insomnia, and you can start by improving your sleep hygiene (go to bed in total darkness with blackout curtains, no blue lights including all technology, add media tape to all blue lights, no cell or computer for 1 hour prior to going to sleep, sleeping in a low temp environment, etc.). Should I consider natural medicine for cancer?
I find the best approach to be one of integration where the best of conventional medicine and the best of natural medicine merge and create a strategy for care. If you're in the US, consider places like CTCA, The Block Center, and if you're elsewhere, consider places like Integrated Health Clinic outside of Vancouver, Sanoviv in Mexico, and there are many other clinics that take a more integrated approach. Another US based clinic is the Riordan Clinic in Kansas, and here is a friend of mine who practices there: https://riordanclinic.org/staff/kirsten-west-nd-lac-fabno/ READ MORE

What is a natural remedy for high blood pressure?
Lots of them! Too many to count, but a good one to start with is magnesium glycinate -the magnesium is chelated (attached to) glycine, which is an amino acid that can cross the blood-brain-barrier, so not only does this form of magnesium have an impact on blood pressure, but it helps with neurocognition (brain health and mental health), anxiety, insomnia, and so much more! Magnesium is apart of around 300 biochemical mechanisms in the body, so it has important functions, including for blood pressure regulation. READ MORE
