About

Dr. Lauren is a nationally board-certified Doctor of Acupuncture who discovered acupuncture as a means to alleviate her own intense discomfort stemming from an 18-month-long coccyx injury. Despite her profound fear of needles, which made her an unlikely candidate for the profession, she is passionate about assisting patients, particularly those who are initially skeptical, in achieving optimal wellness. She obtained her Doctor of Acupuncture, Master of Science in Acupuncture, and Bachelor of Professional Studies degrees from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City, along with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Dr. Lauren is also certified in facial rejuvenation and serves as a teaching assistant to renowned instructor, Dr. Michele Gellis. Dr. Lauren gained valuable experience in neurology as an intern in the Orthopedic/Neurology department at NYU Lutheran Hospital, where she received specialized training in acupuncture for post-stroke conditions. Additionally, Lauren refined her interpersonal and business acumen as the proprietor of ThinkingKap, LLC, a company focused on brand development and marketing strategies for notable clients, including ADP, Mercedes-Benz USA, Willis International, Starz, and Universal Studios, among others.
