At the age of 19, Dr. Jankovich found his passion for dentistry when he began working as a dental assistant. He continued working in the dental field throughout his undergraduate and masters degrees up until beginning dental school. 

He received his Bachelor of Science degrees in Spanish and Biomedical Sciences from Central Michigan University (CMU) during which he also had the opportunity to study at the University of Alicante in Spain. During his time at CMU, Dr. Jankovich was an avid researcher within the chemistry department using the Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), enjoyed his teaching assistant position for many undergraduate and graduate chemistry courses, and was able to attend and present his research at various American Chemistry Society conventions across the country. 

Following, he received his Master of Science degree in Basic Medical Sciences from the Wayne State University School of Medicine where he did extensive prostate cancer research resulting in a publication in the scientific journal, Molecules. Dr. Jankovich then completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Michigan where he continued using the AFM to study the surface of enamel for the construction of nanoparticle therapeutics. 

To stay up to date in his field, he takes Continuing Education courses in Botox, bone grafting, Invisalign, and implants.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

In his spare time, Dr. Jankovich enjoys the outdoors, power sports, traveling, skiing, playing chess, and reading.
