Get to know Dentist Dr. Theodore Gargano, who serves patients in North Haven, Connecticut.

Dr. Gargano is a dentist who is currently serving patients’ dental needs at Gargano Family Dentistry in North Haven, Connecticut. Comfort and convenience are the hallmarks of Gargano Family Dentistry’s office operations. All of the professionals working there make it their priority to deliver gentle, compassionate care. Dr. Gargano earned his Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He continued his education at the UConn School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree. Upon graduation, he went on to complete his residency in general dentistry at Denver Health Center. In addition, Dr. Gargano is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association, and the New Haven Dental Society. 

Dr. Gargano can be seen around North Haven speaking with area school children on the importance of oral hygiene. He is a participant in the Connecticut Mission of Mercy – a two-day clinic that provides free dental care to underserved and uninsured individuals. He also travels annually to Guayaquil, Ecuador to provide dental services to underserved communities. Additionally, Dr. Gargano is a certified Invisalign® provider. Invisalign is a type of orthodontic treatment that helps to straighten teeth without the use of the typical metal braces.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists, like Dr. Gargano, are responsible for diagnosing oral diseases, as well as promoting oral health and disease prevention. Additionally, they look for abnormalities within the mouth such as lumps, swelling or discoloration, and perform necessary diagnostic procedures to diagnose and treat these abnormalities. 

As a child, Dr. Gargano dreamed of only two things – being able to fly airplanes and being able to fix teeth. As an adult, he now finds himself living that dream. Dr. Gargano is a true renaissance man. Along with his passion for flying, he is an astounding photographer. In his spare time, he enjoys hobbies that challenge his craftsmanship. He also loves cooking on the weekends for his family and friends.
