Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Swathi Vanguri, who serves patients in Pennsylvania & Delaware. 

Dr. Vanguri is a caring and compassionate obstetrician-gynecologist who sees patients at Crozer Health OB/GYN – Upland in Pennsylvania & Crozer Health OB/GYN – Silverside in Wilmington, Delaware. Making women’s wellness a priority, she also has admitting privileges at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Springfield Hospital, and Taylor Hospital.

Crozer Health OB/GYN – Silverside is committed to meeting the healthcare needs of women in Wilmington and northern Delaware. The highly skilled, compassionate providers use the most up-to-date scientific data and procedures to treat their patients’ medical conditions. “I feel it is important to establish an open and compassionate environment for patients so they will feel comfortable to address their needs” expressed Dr. Vanguri. Some of the services that she offers include obstetrics-gynecology, surgery, breastfeeding, gynecology, maternity (obstetrics), and robotic surgery. Likewise, she performs minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy, laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy, as well as procedures utilizing the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Vanguri graduated with her medical degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2003. She then went on to perform her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

With special interests in breastfeeding and women’s health, she is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). Moreover, she is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, whose mission is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics and gynecology. An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health. 

Focusing on the medical and surgical aspects of her speciality, Dr. Vanguri has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors throughout her fruitful career. These include: Patients’ Choice Award (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2016, 2017), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2011, 2012, 2016), Patients’ Choice 5th Anniversary Award (2012), and On-Time Doctor Award (2016).
