Delivering Excellence in Pain Management

A board-certified Anesthesiologist and fellowship-trained interventional pain medicine physician, Dr. Asif is affiliated with Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, joining the practice in April 2024.  Prior to that, she was part of Premier Pain & Spine family after the completion of her training since May 2019. Her clinical interests encompass a wide spectrum of pain management, including musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, chronic regional pain syndrome, headaches, neuromodulation with spinal cord stimulation, and regenerative medicine utilizing platelet-rich plasma and stem cell therapy.

Embracing the complexity of pain, she believes in a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to patient care. By integrating various treatment modalities and collaborating with healthcare professionals, she designs personalized treatment plans for each patient. Her mission is to blend her expertise in acute and chronic pain to provide compassionate, innovative, and comprehensive care that enhances patients' potential and restores their quality of life.

Pertaining to her educational pursuits, Dr. Asif received her medical degree from the Chicago Medical School – RFUMS, before completing her anesthesiology residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine – Henry Ford Health System. Her dedication to advancing her expertise led her to successfully complete a prestigious interventional pain medicine fellowship at Wayne State University School of Medicine – Detroit Medical Center. She also received an MBA degree from the prestigious Loyola University Chicago Graduate School of Business.

With numerous publications in esteemed national and international journals focusing on anesthesia and pain management, her contributions to the field are highly regarded. She was also honored to be a contributing author of two chapters in the recently published book “Consults in Obstetric Anesthesiology.” Her passion for research is evident through her presentations at renowned conferences such as the American Society of Regional Anesthesiologists and her involvement in clinical trials exploring modern treatments for conditions like CRPS and post-laminectomy syndrome.
