A 2012 graduate of Duke University School of Medicine, Dr. Lassiter went on to perform her residency in general surgery at the Medical College of Georgia and her fellowship in pediatric surgery at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in 2019 and 2021, respectively.
Subsequent to her training, she attained board certification in both general surgery and pediatric surgery through the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.
At the University of Minnesota Medical School, Dr. Lassiter serves as an Assistant Professor within the Division of Pediatric Surgery & as Surgery Clerkship Director.
Continuously advancing her efforts, she is an active member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Pediatric Surgical Association.
