Get to know Endocrinologist Dr. Oksana Davydov, who serves patients in Alexandria, Virginia.

Recognized as a well-versed endocrinologist, Dr. Davydov is in practice with Inova Endocrinology in Alexandria, Virginia. In addition to specializing in the management of osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease, she has expertise in managing a broad spectrum of endocrinology disorders, including type 1 and type 2 diabetes, calcium abnormalities, as well as thyroid, adrenal, pituitary and reproductive conditions. 

Inova Endocrinology is a full-service endocrine practice with three offices in Northern Virginia. The board-certified and/or fellowship-trained specialists offer advanced skills and knowledge to provide patients with the highest level of care in diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of all endocrine disorders.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after she earned her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2009. Dr. Davydov then went on to complete her residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in 2012, followed by her fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes & metabolism at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell in 2014. 

Following her education, she became board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology, diabetes & metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

With over a decade of experience in her field, Dr. Davydov believes that each patient is unique and requires an individualized approach to care. With this in mind, she remains affiliated with Inova Alexandria Hospital and Inova Fairfax Hospital, providing quality care to those in need.

Endocrinology is a branch of biology and medicine dealing with the endocrine system, its diseases, and its specific secretions known as hormones. Endocrinologists have the training to diagnose and treat hormone imbalances and problems by helping to restore the normal balance of hormones in the body. The common diseases and disorders of the endocrine system that endocrinologists deal with include diabetes mellitus, as well as adrenal, pituitary, and thyroid disorders, among others.
