Dr. Rasha Hamouri is a graduate of French Universite de Monastir, post graduate of Columbia University, where she graduated at the top of her class. She also is a post-graduate of New York University, and of the University of Florida. She has been practicing general dentistry for 7 years with specialized experience in endodontics.
Dr. Hamouri is a practicing Dentist in Yorktown, VA, where she specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating diseases and conditions associated with the mouth and overall dental health. She is trained and experienced in treating her patients with professional examinations and cleanings, restorative, prosthodontic, implant, and endodotic procedures, among many others. Dr. Hamouri and her partner also specialize in treating obstructive sleep apnea and TMJ issues through device fabrication and placement. She also practices from the local hospital to see emergency patients and special needs patients.

In her sparetime, Dr. Hamouri enjoys taking on renovation projects at her Yorktown home, spending time with her family and friends, giving back to community with outreach projects, and taking walks with her labradoodle. Dr. Hamouri is fluent in 4 languages: English, French, Arabic, and Hebrew; which allows great communication with her patients from all walks of life. Recognized as a skilled dentist, Dr. Hamouri is the owner & operator of Hamouri Cosmetic and Family Dentistry in Yorktown, Virginia. She is trained and experienced in providing her patients with restorative, cosmetic, endodontic, prosthodontic, implant and surgical procedures. She also offers services such as cleanings & prevention, dental emergencies, Invisalign, as well as treatment of obstructive sleep apnea and TMJ issues. She received an advanced training in root canal treatment. Dr. Hamouri has been practicing for 12 years and loves being able to offer all dental treatment needs and specializes in root canals.
Currently practicing with her wonderful team of dental hygienists and dental assistants, patient care and the dental health needs of her patients are her top priorities, along with being a contributing resident to the city of Yorktown. As a dental professional, she recognizes that her patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust in her and her team, which is just one reason why she values each and every patient relationship.
Before embarking on her professional journey, Dr. Hamouri obtained her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from Université de Médecine Dentaire de Monastir in 2008. She then went on to complete her fellowship in endodontics at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2011, her internship in oral surgery at New York University College of Dentistry in 2012, and her Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Columbia University in New York in 2018.
In order to provide the most current treatment options for her patients and help them achieve optimum oral health, she stays up to date on the latest advancements in the field of dentistry.
Dr. Hamouri is the only dentist that has been credentialed by Riverside hospital in Virginia to provide dental treatment for admitted patients. In addition to providing dental care under general anesthesia for her special needs patients and others that can’t be treated in her office.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
In her spare time, Dr. Hamouri enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, looking for new experiences and adventures with her husband, and playing with her labradoodle Mishmish.
Dr. Hamouri is fluent in 4 languages: English, French, Arabic, and Hebrew; which allows great communication with her patients who speak a variety of native languages. Dentistry is Dr. Hamouri’s passion. She truly loves making her patients feel comfortable and at ease in the dental chair and to feel confident about their smile.
