Specializing in all GI disorders, Dr. Pinkhasov is a board-certified gastroenterologist practicing at Pinnacle Gastroenterology in Queens, New York. His clinical interests include colorectal cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease, advanced endoscopy, and liver diseases.
Prior to his current endeavors, he worked at Digestive Disease Medicine of Central New York in Utica, New York from 2019 until 2024 as well as serving as a gastroenterology consultant to Wynn Hospital of Mohawk Health Systems.
Raised in Queens, New York, Dr. Pinkhasov attended St John’s University College of Pharmacy from 2000-2006 receiving his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree. He returned to school in 2007 attending Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree in 2011. He was an Internal Medicine resident in the SUNY Downstate Medical Residency program and completed a Fellowship in Hepatology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School as well as a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Hackensack University Medical Center – Palisades. Dr. Pinkhasov served as a chief fellow from 2017- 2018.
A member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the doctor is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
With a focus on the digestive system, Dr. Pinkhasov is certified in endoscopy, colonoscopy, small bowel capsule endoscopy, esophageal manometry/24-hour Ph Probe and the CHR O’Regan painless hemorrhoid banding system. He is additionally trained and certified in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. Dr. Pinkhasov is very versed in liver disease as he is uniquely fellowship trained in hepatology.
