Get to know Internist, Dr. Imran Baig, who serves patients in Houston, Texas

Dr. Baig is a remarkable internist who welcomes patients at Copperfield Pediatric and Family Medicine located in Houston, Texas. Furthermore, he can be found on staff at Woodforest Pediatric & Family Clinic and Emerald Pediatric & Family Clinic in Houston, Texas. He holds hospital privileges at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital, Houston Methodist West Hospital, and Houston Methodist Continuing Care Hospital. Born and raised in Pakistan, Dr. Baig earned his medical degree at the Medical College at Aga Khan University in Karachi City, Sindh, Pakistan, in 1992. Following his relocation to the United States, he completed a residency in pediatrics (1994 – 1997), as well as an internship and residency in internal medicine (2009 – 2012)  at the University of Texas Health Science Center – Houston in Houston, Texas. Dr. Baig is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas. 

Dr. Baig is board certified in internal medicine with the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The American Board of Internal Medicine is a 501 nonprofit, self-appointed physician-evaluation organization that certifies physicians practicing internal medicine and its subspecialties.

Internists are physicians specializing in internal medicine, a discipline focused on the care of adults emphasizing use of the best medical science available in caring for patients in the context of thoughtful, meaningful doctor-patient relationships as exemplified by the life and work of Sir William Osler, the “father” of internal medicine in the United States.
