Get to know Chiropractor Dr. Audra Virginia Hewett, who serves patients in Champions Gate, Florida.

Nominated for Orlando Style Magazine’s Top Tier Chiropractors 2019, Dr. Hewett is the Founder of Next Generation Chiropractic & Wellness. She prides herself in spending time with her patients, focusing on their concerns, and assisting them in living healthier and active lives.

From a young age, Dr. Hewett always knew that she wanted to be in healthcare and chiropractic is the perfect blend of medicine that facilitates the body to heal. She is dedicated to providing the best possible treatment for most spinal and extremity conditions, utilizing patented gentle spinal-manipulation instrumentation and therapies.

In direct affiliation with her industry, she is an active member of the Florida Chiropractic Association and the Women in Chiropractic Association. She is also well-trained in Thompson Technique, Flexion-Distraction Technique, Palmer Package, Kinesio Taping Method, Graston Technique, Logan Basic, IASTM, and Activator Methods. manipulations.

Born in Winter Haven, Dr. Hewett attended school at the University of Tampa where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with concentration in pre-medical sciences. After working for 3 years with an amazing medical doctor, volunteering weekly at Tampa General Hospital, and pursuing countless volunteer opportunities in the local Tampa area and in Guatemala with her family, Dr. Hewett decided to pursue her dream to help others achieve optimal function and well-being. That’s when she found her passion in the chiropractic field, graduating with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2017.

With a passion for pursuing further education, Dr. Hewett is currently in the process of earning her diplomate for internal medicine with a chiropractic perspective. She has completed the prestigious program in earning her Certified Independent Chiropractic Examiner (CICE) program. This CICE degree distinguishes her among other chiropractors so that she can thoroughly examine a patient for automobile accidents, injuries, falls, and evaluate permanent impairment reviews and cases. 

Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that mainly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. A chiropractor uses spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients’ health concerns, including neck pain, back pain, headaches, vertigo and a long list of other ailments and conditions. They aim to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life by properly aligning the body’s musculoskeletal structure and enabling the body to heal itself naturally, without the use of medication or surgery. 

In her spare time, Dr. Hewett loves to go to the gym, do yoga, paint, and spend time with her cat fur-babies, Bhakti & Bunny.
