Irene Pasquale, LicAc., DAIH, RYT, RM
Acupuncturist
376 Boylston St Suite 301 Boston MA, 02116About
I have a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture, and a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Integrative Health from MCPHS. I began my education at Skidmore College studying mathematics and painting, but graduated from Lesley University with a BA in Holistic Psychology and Mindfulness Studies. While acupuncture is my main treatment modality, I am a 500hr RYT-500 (Registered Yoga Teacher) with a special interest in yoga for trauma, and am a certified Reiki practitioner. I have worked with plant medicine from the Amazon rainforest which has played a vital role in fine tuning my intuition as a healer. I combine the wisdom of ancient healing arts with the practicality of evidence-based techniques. My las internship was at Massachusetts General Hospital where I provided acupuncture treatments to the oncology staff.
I employ an integrative approach to healthcare and my mission is to restore balance to the human body mainly through acupuncture and secondarily through the use of essential oils, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, etc. I aim to support the body’s own healing response, as the human body is wired to heal itself when given the proper tools. I treat musculoskeletal problems, mental/emotional concerns, men and women’s fertility issues, chronic and acute pain, autoimmune disorders, digestive complaints, allergies, headaches, and more!

Get to know Acupuncturist Dr. Irene Pasquale, LicAc., DAIH, RYT, RM, who serves patients in Boston, Massachusetts.
Irene is a licensed acupuncturist who joined the team of professionals at Johnston Family Acupuncture in January of 2019. She practices a fusion of Chinese and Japanese acupuncture techniques, and utilizes various adjuncts such as non-insertive needling, moxa, cupping, guasha, polarity therapy, tuina, and more.
Traditional Chinese Medicine is an entire system of medicine in itself, so Irene is equipped to treat everything that incorporates the mind, body, spirit connection. She specializes in trauma, mental/emotional disharmonies, and infertility, though she commonly treats physical pain, digestive issues, headaches, allergies, and more.
Academically, Dr. Pasquale graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Holistic Psychology and Mindfulness Studies from Lesley University in 2015, and her Master of Acupuncture degree in Japanese & Chinese Tracks from the New England School of Acupuncture/Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2018. She then went on to earn her Doctorate in Acupuncture & Integrative Health from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2019.
Furthering her training, she performed acupuncture internships at MGH, Cambridge Health Alliance, and Boston Medical Center. She also completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training through Sacred Seeds Yoga and a 300-hour yoga teacher training at Boston Yoga School. She is Reiki certified via the Master Usui lineage. Her training in reiki, yoga, and self-study of sacred plant medicines contribute to her proficient understanding of energy flow in the body and how it affects all aspects of health. She combines the wisdom of ancient healing arts with the practicality of evidence-based techniques.
Irene employs an integrative approach to healthcare and her mission is to restore balance to the human body mainly through acupuncture, and secondarily through the use of essential oils, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, etc. She practices integrative medicine in a way that stimulates the body’s own healing response, as she firmly believes the human body is wired to heal itself when given the proper tools.
Currently, Dr. Pasquale is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, and by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
