How do I permanently get rid of blackheads on my nose?
Good question. It's hard to "permanently" get rid of anything on our bodies. A good skin care regimen and frequent facials would help keep blackheads under control. I recommend seeing a dermatologist to discuss the best treatments for you. Many offices have an aesthetician available who can help you with facials and selecting quality skin care products to maintain your results (in conjunction with medications prescribed by your physician). It's a multi-step approach. READ MORE

How do dermatologists remove blackheads?
It depends on the condition of the skin (are there active pustules near the blackheads) and the location of the blackheads. Options could include extractions, facials, treating with retinoids (patient applies at home), etc. I highly suggest seeing a dermatologist to consult about your options and plan a strategy to help you decongest the skin. Bumps on skin?
Keratosis pilaris is a form of eczema. Moisturing and using gentle cleansers is key to keeping this condition at bay but the bumps sometimes need a prescription or OTC moisturizer to smooth down the bumps. I recommend washing with CeraVe Hydrating cleanser and using a good cream like CeraVe cream (original), Vanicream, or Cetaphil. It will take a few weeks to see a difference. Best of luck! P.S. Don't scrub the bumps!! His skin is sensitive and this trauma could make the condition worse. READ MORE

Dermatitis?
Avoiding redness is one of the questions of the century and the plain truth is we don't have a universal answer. It sounds like you are experiencing Urticaria (hives). I recommend seeing a dermatologist and an allergist to find treatment. Urticaria can escalate into angioedema which can be life threatening. Please seek care immediately (go to the ER) if you ever have redness and swelling in the eyes, mouth, tongue, or throat. Take care! READ MORE
