“What drew me to medicine was the unique opportunity to foster a special patient-doctor relationship built upon deep-rooted trust. What drew me to ophthalmology was how life changing that bond can be when it has the power to change the way patients see the world. What drew me to oculofacial and reconstructive surgery is how that relationship can alter the way the patients envision themselves” expressed the doctor.
Upon graduating with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology & Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science from the University of South Florida in 2009, Dr. Rosh went on to further her education. She earned her medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in 2013, after which she performed her internship with the University of South Florida Affiliated Hospitals (Tampa General Hospital, James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, and Moffitt Cancer Center). She followed this up with a residency in ophthalmology at the University of South Florida Eye Institute, and a fellowship in oculofacial and reconstructive surgery at Duke University Eye Center.
Subsequent to her education, she attained board certification in ophthalmology through the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). The ABO is an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America.
In good standing with a number of professional organizations, Dr. Rosh is an active member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Tampa Bay Ophthalmology Society, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American Medical Association, and the American Medical Women’s Association.
Ophthalmology is a branch of medicine and surgery, which deals with the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders. Ophthalmologists are experts in the diseases, functions, and anatomy of the eye. In addition to being able to evaluate the eye, ophthalmologists are also surgeons.
Passionate about bringing oculofacial reconstruction and aesthetic services to the greater Tampa area, Dr. Rosh has presented and served as a panel member, speaker, and instructor at national meetings.
Among her most notable achievements include Forsyth Magazine Women on the Move; Cosmetic Surgery Forum Top 10 Presenter’; Morsani College of Medicine Professionalism Delegate; University of South Florida Magna Cum Laude; and Assistant Consulting Professor Department of Ophthalmology at Duke University School of Medicine.
