Smiley is an established Licensed Professional Counselor who continues to provide exceptional care and support to the citizens of Northern Virginia. Featuring over two decades of experience in her field, she has special expertise in neurological disorders, family and adolescent counseling. Angelia attended Howard University, graduating with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in 1994. Driven to further her knowledge, she went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Guidance Counseling from Trinity College in 1996. Furthermore, Angelia completed her Post Master’s Certification in Counseling from Marymount University in 1999 and earned a Master’s level Certification in Solution Focused Therapy with George Mason University in 1999. She is a Christian Counselor, as well as a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist. Angelia served as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Army from 1994 to 2002, and she is a lifetime member of the Reserve Officers Association. She has dedicated her life to delivering high quality and compassionate care and services, and attributes her success to feeling that counseling is her calling. When she is not working, Angelia enjoys attending bible studies, researching, watching movies while spending time with her son.
