What do you attribute your success to?
- Because Anjelica dealt with a family member suffering with bi-polar disorder, she wanted to learn about mental illness and human behavior. This sparked her interest enough to pursue a career in psychology. She credits her success to the support of her colleagues and her family. Anjelica has an intrinsic motivation, and she wants to leave behind a legacy of helping those in need.Her mother is a retired professor and her stepfather was a principal. They instilled the importance of an education in Anjelica since she was young, and encouraged her to continue learning.
Areas of research
Currently preparing an action resarch study to explore the procedures and instructional practices of integrating game-based learning in higher education. The action research study will examine Minecraft: Education Edition (M:EE) as a game-based learnig program implemented within Behavioral and Social Sciences courses at Southern University at Shreveport, LA.
