Born and raised on San Juan Island in the Pacific Northwest, Flora’s ventured to Kauai as a young woman. There, she began her study of martial arts and introduction to topical Chinese herbs in Bellingham, Washington. She furthered her knowledge of holistic medicine in health promoting supplements. Flora then traveled to Santa Cruz, California where she completed her Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MTCM) from the esteemed world renown Five Branches University. She trained with several masters attaining valuable techniques in which she has adjusted in recent years, to compliment her style. Flora specializes in sports medicine, facial rejuvenation, anti-aging, and general body rejuvenation. She is an herbalist and is currently cultivating a terraced medicinal herb garden filled with Hawaiian, Chinese, and western herbs. Flora is a practitioner of medical Qi Gong and enjoys to pass along valuable gems to patients teaching them to sustainably heal themselves. Acupuncture is a system of health care that has been developed, refined, and practiced in China for over the past 4,000 years. In ancient times, acupuncture, along with herbal medicine, was used as the primary method of treating injuries and illness. It involves the superficial insertion of hair-thin needles into points on the body that have been proven to relieve pain and disease. Nowadays, most people come to an acupuncturist for medical problems that do not respond well to western medicine (ie. Drugs, surgery, pain killers, etc.). In 2014, Flora returned to join her family and island roots on Kauai and is serving the island community and visitors alike.
