Dr. Sanaa Rizk is an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Hematology, at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She is board certified to practice internal medicine, hematology, and oncology. She currently serves as Director of the Hereditary Anemia Program and Sickle Cell Disease program. Among her primary clinical interests are sickle cell disease and hemoglobinopathies with special focus on women’s health in this population. Dr Rizk has been involved with seven clinical trials, most of which study sickle cell disease, its related conditions, and its various treatments. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented as abstracts at national meetings. She also takes care of clotting and bleeding disorders, anemia, low blood counts.
