Dr. Evelyn Pillor, a board-certified Nurse Practitioner at Stanford Medicine’s Digestive Health Clinic brings over two decades of diverse medical expertise to her role. With 23 years of experience in medicine, including 20 years as a Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant, she is dedicated to enhancing patient care and outcomes through innovative programs and leadership.

Throughout her academic career, she earned her dual certification as a Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant from UC Davis School of Medicine and holds a Master’s in Nursing from California State University, Sacramento. Furthering her commitment to excellence, she completed her doctoral degree at Grand Canyon University, focusing on Leadership and Education. She has cultivated a rich career across various specialties, including Emergency Room care, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Head and Neck Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, and Gastroenterology. Her extensive background also encompasses specialized areas such as Neurogastroenterology and Motility, allowing her to address complex patient needs effectively. 

In her current role at Stanford Medicine, Dr. Pillor is dedicated to harnessing her leadership skills and educational background to implement innovative programs aimed at improving patient outcomes. Her efforts are directed toward creating a more effective healthcare environment that prioritizes patient well-being and accessibility to advanced medical care.

“I believe in the power of leadership and education to transform healthcare delivery,” said Dr. Pillor. “My goal is to create programs that not only enhance patient experiences but also empower advanced practice providers to take on more significant roles in patient care.”

On a professional level, Dr. Pillor is actively seeking advanced positions within the realm of global health and continues to advocate for the promotion of advanced practice providers. Her commitment to professional excellence is evident through her memberships in prestigious organizations, including Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Alpha Chi Honor Society, and as a Fellow of the California Association of Physician Associates. Additionally, she is a Founding Member of the American Medical Extended Reality Association, showcasing her dedication to integrating technology into healthcare.
