Joining Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) at Shreveport, Dr. Morisetti completed a fellowship in nephrology and served as a chief fellow in 2018. He worked in a private nephrology group at Monroe as a nephrologist/interventional nephrology for 1 year but came back as a faculty at LSU Health Shreveport in hospital medicine and nephrology due to his passion for academics and teaching. 

Board certified in nephrology and internal medicine, Dr. Morisetti is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

On a professional level, Dr. Morisetti is a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology (FASN) and a member of the American College of Physicians.
