Get to know Family Practitioner Dr. Thanuja D. Chandrasena, who serves patients in Amarillo, Texas.

Dr. Chandrasena, a board-certified family practitioner, practices at Texas Tech Physicians of Amarillo, which provides the very best in comprehensive health care to residents throughout the Texas Panhandle, Oklahoma, and New Mexico in a professional and friendly environment. She is also affiliated with BSA Hospital in Amarillo.

A member of the American Osteopathic Association, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties. 

Pertaining to her educational background, Dr. Chandrasena earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. She then went on to complete her residency in family medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, where she currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine.
