In Switzerland, Dr. Bigliardi graduated with his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Bern in 1989. He then went on to perform his residencies in dermatology/venereology and allergy/clinical immunology at the University of Basel in 1997 and 1999, respectively. 

Specializing in skin care, he is board certified in dermatology and allergy/clinical immunology through the FMH Swiss Medical Association.

Among his professional society memberships include the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American Contact Dermatitis Society, the Association of Professors of Dermatology, the Singapore Academy of Medical Science, the International Narcotics Research Conference (board member since 2014), the Swiss Contact Dermatitis Research Group, the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, the Swiss Society for Allergology and Clinical Immunology, the Swiss Society for Dermatology and Venereology (SSDV), and the American Academy of Dermatology.
