Dr. Ralph F. Coleman is an addiction medicine specialist currently practicing with his practice, Wilcrest Medical Center. While he focuses on addiction medicine, he also has an expertise in family medicine and as a general practitioner. 

In regards to his education, he graduated with his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1962, giving him over five decades of experience in the medical field. After earning his medical degree, he completed his internship with the University of Alabama Medical Center followed by a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology from the same institute. Furthering his training, he completed his Psychiatry residency from Camarillo State Hospital. He is licensed to practice in the state of Texas. 

His patients have excellent experiences with him, one stating, “I was nervous at first as I don't particularly enjoy going to the doctor - Who does? However, Dr. Coleman and his assistant, Scott made me feel very comfortable I have never left Dr. Coleman's office without a smile. 2 thumbs up!” 

Addiction Medicine is concerned with the prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery of persons with the disease of addiction, of those with substance-related health conditions, and of people who show unhealthy use of substances including nicotine, alcohol, prescription medications and other licit and illicit drugs.
