His areas of expertise encompass general gastroenterology and hepatology, as well as specialized procedures such as therapeutic endoscopy, ERCP, and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS). A 1996 graduate of the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Fincke completed his residency in internal medicine at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He then pursued a fellowship in gastroenterology at Brooke Army Medical Center and later served as a faculty gastroenterologist for the San Antonio Uniformed Health Services Gastroenterology Fellowship program, contributing to the education and training of numerous GI physicians.
After 11 years of dedicated service in the United States Army, Dr. Fincke transitioned to private practice in San Antonio in 2007 before joining the Methodist Physicians Hill Country Medical Group. He is affiliated with Methodist Hospital Hill Country, HCM Medical Clinic – Fredericksburg, and Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, further solidifying his commitment to providing exceptional care in the community.
Deeply passionate about diagnosing and treating diseases of the digestive system, Dr. Fincke is board certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
