Dr. Hacker is a board-certified general surgeon who can be found on staff at Treasure Coast Surgical Specialists in Port St. Lucie, Florida. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida at Gainesville in 2006, Dr. Hacker went on to earn her medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee, Florida in 2010. Thereafter, she completed her residency in general surgery at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, followed by her fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, she is a proud member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and the Association of Women Surgeons. Moreover, she holds board certification in surgery by the American Board of Surgery, an independent, non-profit organization, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland.
