Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Ashley L. Becker, who serves patients in New York, New York.

Enjoying her job, Dr. Becker is a New York-based Northwell Health physician who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology. 

Namely, she offers her services at Northwell Health Physician Partners Obstetrics and Gynecology at West 58th Street & Northwell Health Physician Partners Obstetrics & Gynecology at 69th Street. During her consultations, she fully explains patients’ conditions and helps them choose an appropriate treatment plan. 

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Becker graduated with her medical degree from Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2013. She then went on to perform her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at NYU Langone Hospital Long Island in 2017.

Giving patients her focused attention, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

After spending more than three years in private practice, Dr. Becker joined the faculty practice at Northwell University Health and the all-women’s group at Lenox Hill Hospital. She is also affiliated with The Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai Morningside, and Mount Sinai West.

Among her academic titles, she serves as an Assistant Professor at Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). An obstetrician-gynecologist specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and disorders that affect women, such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, and menopause. Additionally, they work with expecting mothers throughout their pregnancies, during childbirth, and into postpartum. 

The recipient of the NYU Winthrop University Hospital’s Outstanding Teaching Award, Dr. Becker routinely receives accolades from the residents for her teaching abilities.
