In continuing practice since 1974, The Eye Care Group is the longest established ophthalmic office in the area. It consists of a group of 18 ophthalmologists, each possessing a unique area of expertise. The doctors cover all the ophthalmic subspecialties, enjoy clinical appointments at Yale University, and participate in clinical research trials. The team also includes a low vision specialist, certified orthoptists, certified ophthalmic technicians and assistants, certified retinal angiographers, and licensed opticians. Having grown up in West Palm Beach, Florida, Dr. Nguyen went to complete his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida. He attended medical school at Washington University in St. Louis and completed his residency in ophthalmology at Yale University. He then went on to complete his fellowship training in glaucoma at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
Aided by his expertise, the doctor is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). The ABO is an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America.
