Wanting to further his training he completed his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship with Westchester Medical Center. Dr. Chhabra holds multiple certifications, he is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Nuclear Cardiology, American Board of IM/Cardiovascular Disease, and the National Board of Echocardiography. Dr. Chhabra currently practices as a Cardiologist with the Westchester Heart & Vascular North State Division and is affiliated with Lenox Hill Hospital, Northern Westchester Hospital, and Phelps Memorial Hospital Center where he holds an expertise in internal medicine and cardiology. Cardiology is a branch of internal medicine. A cardiologist is not the same as a cardiac surgeon. A cardiac surgeon opens the chest and performs heart surgery, whereas a cardiologist specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the cardiovascular system.
