Get to know Dermatologist Dr. Desmond M. Shipp, who serves patients in Columbus and Gahanna, Ohio.

Dr. Desmond M. Shipp is a dermatologist specializes in cosmetic dermatology ( lasers, fillers, platelet rich plasma(PRP), cool sculpting, blepharoplasty, ear lobe reconstructions,  liposuction, fat transfer neuromodulators, etc…).

Dr. Shipp is affiliated with the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Shipp received his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, Ohio in 2012. Thereafter, he went on to complete his residency in dermatology at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Shipp is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD is one of 24 medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). The Board certifies physicians in dermatology, dermatopathology, and pediatric dermatology.

Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with the skin, nails, hair and its diseases. It is a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. A dermatologist, like Dr. Shipp, is specialist doctor that manages diseases, in the widest sense, and some cosmetic problems of the skin, hair and nails.
