Get to know Pediatrician, Dr. Nisha Suman, who serves patients in Fresno, California

Dr. Suman is a board-certified pediatrician who welcomes patients at Omni Family Health in Fresno, California. She is licensed to practice in the state of California. 

Dr. Suman received her medical degree in 2000 from the Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Haryana, India. After she relocated to the United States, she completed a residency in pediatrics at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, as well as a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Vidant Medical CenterVidant Medical Center.

Following her training, Dr. Suman attained board certification pediatrics with the American Board of Pediatrics. The American Board of Pediatrics was founded in 1933. It is one of the 24 certifying boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties. The ABP is an independent and nonprofit organization.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.

On a more personal note, Dr. Suman speaks Hindi and Punjabi in addition to English.
