Get to know Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner, Gina E. Pearson, who serves patients in Shelby Township, Michigan.
Gina is a Board Certified Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) who has devoted over the past 20+ years to caring for those diagnosed with cancer. She continues to pursue her passion of lightening the load of this diagnosis on those affected, while serving as the Founder of Allied Wellness Solutions.
Located in Shelby Township, Michigan, Allied Wellness Solutions provides services for disease prevention, root cause diagnosis, integrative health, nutritional support, and overall wellness.
Recognizing that patients possess a deep understanding of their own bodies, the key to positive outcomes, in Gina’s view, is the cultivation of strong relationships and attentive listening to her clients. Her approach is founded on precision and evidence-based methods, which enable her to develop personalized plans for each client, resulting in enhanced health and an improved quality of life.
Completing her extensive nursing education, Gina earned her Master of Science in Nursing Degree from Oakland University, where she excelled in her studies from January 2005 to December 2010. Prior to her advanced degree, she obtained her foundational knowledge and skills as an Associate in Nursing with a focus on Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse at Macomb Community College, where she pursued her education from September 1999 to March 2003.
Pursuing her education in functional nutritional medicine and integrative oncology, Gina has received certification through the American Academy of Functional Health and the American Academy of Integrative Oncology. She has also completed post graduate courses in sexual health, hormone replacement therapy (men and women), chronic illness, nutrigenomics, and preventative medicine.
Back in 1993, Gina’s older sister, Annette, was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Ewing’s Sarcoma, at the young age of 23 years old. Unfortunately, Annette lost her life in June of 1997 to this disease. During her journey, there was a small non-profit organization, My Friends Care, who devoted multiple hours, service, and assisted in raising dollars to help along Annette’s cancer journey. Since that time, Gina has always had the dream to begin a similar entity to help make this diagnosis and journey easier for patients and their families.
Through the non-profit, Michigan Faith In The Fight, she provides many hours of 100% volunteer time to ensure no-one has to battle this disease blind, alone, or feeling less than their best. She also offers private cancer coaching through her functional medicine concierge service program.
Utilizing a holistic approach encompassing the mental, physical, spiritual, and social dimensions of each person’s journey, Gina customizes individualized plans for clients at any point in their cancer diagnosis, ultimately resulting in favorable outcomes.
Blessed with a beautiful family, Gina is a loving mother to four children, with whom she loves to spend time with.
