Dr. Pennisi, a board-certified and fellowship-trained family physician, has chosen to focus his care on older adults, with special interest in testing for Alzheimer’s disease and other causes of memory loss. He helps older adults maintain functional independence and provides comprehensive geriatric assessment for elderly patients (with emphasis on adults 65 years of age and older). At present, he is in practice with NCH Physician Group Internal Medicine in Naples, Florida.

He then went on to complete his internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, followed by his residency in family medicine and his fellowship in geriatric medicine at the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014 and 2016, respectively.

Holding certifications in family medicine and geriatic medicine, the doctor is board-certified through the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP). The AOBFP is an organization that provides board certification to qualified osteopathic physicians who specialize in delivering comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, genders, and addressing all parts of the body.
