Get to know Physiatrist Dr. Neel Chandel, who serves patients in Glen Cove, New York.

A highly-trained physiatrist & a spinal cord injury specialist, Dr. Chandel is in practice with Northwell Health Physician Partners Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Glen Cove. Her hospital affiliations include Glen Cove Hospital and Phelps Memorial Hospital Center.

As for her academic title, she serves as an Assistant Professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

Regarding her educational background, Dr. Chandel graduated with her medical degree from SMT NHL Municipal Medical College in India. After moving to the United States, she performed her internship at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, her residency at Montefiore Medical Center, and her fellowship at the University of Texas at Houston. Her proficiency  includes spasticity management (botox & baclofen pumps) as well.

With years of experience in her field, the doctor is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation & spinal cord injury medicine by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (ABPMR). Founded in 1947, the ABPMR is the medical certifying board for the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation. It is one of 24 medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).
