Can appendicitis be cured without surgery?
Hello, I am sorry to hear about the diagnosis - I know as a Pediatrician practicing for over a decade, ANY diagnosis is not the best situation to be in for a mother/parent. Depending on how inflamed his appendix is, surgeons sometimes consider IV fluids and conservative management, but if it's pretty inflamed and is ready to burst (which is absolutely not good for him with all that infected stuff pouring out into his abdomen/belly and causing him more agony/pain), they would want to remove the source of that - the appendix. I hope this answers your question. Hope he is taken care of well and feels better! READ MORE

How do you care for a baby with a heart murmur?
Hello, Most (80%) newborn heart murmurs are what is called as “innocent.” Which means a structural abnormality in the heart or a heart disease is not something you worry about instantly. An Echo and a Pediatric cardiologist’s opinion can reassure you of the same. If he is feeding well and looks well, most likely it is an “innocent murmur.” But a confirmation can be attained an Echo and an expert opinion on the same. As a mother, you just watch out for his/her feeding, and no breathing/thriving issues. Regards, READ MORE
