Educated in India, Dr. Damodaram received his Medical Degree from Osmania Medical College. He then relocated to the United States, completing his Master’s Degree in Biology from Missouri State University in Springfield. 

Thereafter, Dr. Damodaram completed residency training in neurology at Saint Louis University, and a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center.

Board certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology, the doctor is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.

Prior to joining UTHealth Houston Neurosciences, Dr. Damodaram served as a general neurologist at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in College Station, Texas. 

His research has been featured in peer-reviewed journals, and he has presented on a wide range of topics, including cryptogenic stroke and its treatment strategies, as well as clinical aspects of pain.
