Simultaneously, he serves as an Infectious Diseases and Travel Medicine Physician Assistant at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL, where his versatile expertise is put to use in providing comprehensive care. Major Godart's research interests span a wide array of infectious diseases, including osteomyelitis, multidrug resistant organisms (MDRO), fungal infections, and emerging and neglected tropical diseases. His recent case report, titled "A Rare Case of Candida Osteomyelitis of the Mandible Associated with Osteoradionecrosis and Biofilm Formation," is currently undergoing review and is anticipated to be published later this year, shedding light on a complex and unusual clinical scenario. Furthermore, Major Godart is slated to deliver a presentation on osteomyelitis and discitis at the Mayo Clinic 8th Annual Multidisciplinary Spine Care Conference in November 2024, hosted in Amelia Island, FL, showcasing his expertise and contributions to the field of infectious diseases. Major Godart was recently honored to be invited by the Mayo Clinic Florida Infectious Diseases Fellowship program director to teach an introductory bioterrorism course to their Infectious Diseases fellows on an annual basis.
