Julia Thomes is a certified Trauma specialist currently practicing with South Point Family Counseling & Community Services.

South Point Family Counseling & Community Services is a part of Necco Family Counseling and Community Services. South Point Family Counseling & Community Services offers Community Rehabilitation Programs and foster care. Since 1997, Necco has been a trusted partner in this region through their foster care and adoption services. Their Family Counseling and Community Services are just one more way that they build strong families and communities.

They additionally provide services to youth and their families that incorporates case management, mental health, crisis response and social services with a goal of either preventing out of home placement or transitioning the youth back home. These services are provided in the home, at school and in various community settings.

Julia earned her Bachelor of Arts, is a Licensed Social Worker, and a Certified Trauma Specialist. Certified Trauma Specialist provide services and support to individuals impacted by traumatic events; who provide immediate trauma intervention, advocacy, crisis intervention, death notification, victim/survivor assistance and immediate and longer-term services for a variety of traumatized populations. This designation also recognizes treatment specialists who focus on multiple services to victims, in addition to treatment and specialized interventions.
