A competent physiatrist, Dr. Durgam is the Medical Director of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sugar Land. Her clinical interests include pain management, post-trauma rehabilitation, stroke management, neuro-rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury, musculoskeletal disorders, and geriatric medicine.

After completing her medical education, Dr. Durgam went on to complete her internship at Nassau University Medical Center, and her residency in physical medicine & rehabilitation at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she was Chief Resident. Later, she completed her fellowship in women’s rehabilitation at the Albert Einstein – Montefiore Medical Center.
Following her training, the doctor attained board certification in physical medicine & rehabilitation through the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (ABPMR). The mission of the ABPMR is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation. This is accomplished through a process of certification and maintenance of certification that fosters excellence and encourages continuous learning.
