Raised in Clinton, New York, Dr. Pavelock went on to earn her medical degree from the Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poznan, Poland. She then relocated to the United States, completing her residency in internal medicine at NYU-Langone, and her fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at SUNY Upstate Medical University, where she served as chief fellow from 2017-2018.

A member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the doctor is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
