Can you have an implant without a bone graft?
Implants can be placed depending on the amount of bone remaining. For an implant to be successful and stable has to be surrounded by a specific thickness of bone. Thickness of bone remains present if at time of extraction grafting is performed. A CBCT, 3D Xray can be taken to determine the amount of bone present and planning can be performed accordingly. Graduating with her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, Dr. Brignoni went on to further her studies. She earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine, after which she completed her postgraduate degree in periodontics at Rutgers University – Newark.
Before opening her private practice in October of 2021, she worked as a general dentist at Caring Dental Associates (March 2016 – October 2021), and as a dentist at Sam’s Family Dental Care, PC (September 2014 – May 2016).
