  • Why does my jaw hurt by my ear?

Hello, Thank you for your question. There are a few reasons why your jaw would hurt by your ear. The most common reason is clenching your jaw or grinding your teeth. This puts a lot of pressure on the jaw and the cartilage in the jaw joint. The second reason may be due to allergies. If you have a history of seasonal allergies, the eustachian tube (tube that connects the inner ear to the throat) is inflamed. Taking a decongestant can easily solve this problem. As far as the jaw pain, I recommend you make an appointment with your dentist for an evaluation. Yours in health, Dr. Cipriano READ MORE
