Get to know Family Physician Dr. Zoila Jorro, who serves patients in Orlando, Florida.

A seasoned family physician, Dr. Jorro tends to patients at Orlando Family Practice Care. Her clinical interests include geriatric medicine, women’s health, and men’s health.

Throughout her academic career, she graduated cum laude with her Bachelors of Science degree in Pharmacy from the Long Island University, Arnold and Marie Schwartz College in 1999. Similarly, she graduated cum laude with her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003. Later, she completed her residency in family medicine at Advent Health East Orlando.

Passionate about her profession, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine and neuromusculoskeletal medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, which is an organization that provides board certification to qualified osteopathic physicians who specialize in delivering comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, genders, and addressing all parts of the body. She is also an active member of the American Osteopathic Association.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

Among her various accolades, Dr. Jorro was selected as one of Florida’s favorite physicians of 2011 and received the Patient’s Choice Award in 2011. Additionally, she was recognized by her patients as one of America’s most compassionate doctors and received the Most Compassionate Doctor Award in 2010 & 2011.

In her free time, she enjoys going to her children’s baseball games, exercising, reading, and spending time with her family. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
