Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Aralis Santiago Plaud, who serves patients in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Plaud is a trusted pediatrician at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. It is a nationally ranked 496 bed pediatric acute care teaching hospital located in Dallas, Texas. 

Alongside her clinical role, she serves as an Instructor at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

With a broad educational background, Dr. Plaud graduated with her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 1997. She then went on to perform her internship in pediatrics at the same educational venue in 1998, followed by her residency in pediatrics at Stanford University Medical Center in 2000.

Dedicated to excellence, the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.

In honor of her clinical expertise, Dr. Plaud is the recipient of Patients’ Choice Award (2018).
